Fifteen-year old allegedly robs convenience store at gunpoint to steal... a pack of cigarettes?

That's one way to interpret the story of a fifteen-year old from Castle Rock, who avoided paying for smokes by pulling a gun.

The teen managed to get away from the Castle Pines gas station with his precious pack, but he didn't get far. Douglas County deputies busted him shortly thereafter, and he now faces several charges, including aggravated robbery.

If the Douglas County Sheriff's Office account on view below is accurate, it's time for a certain someone to kick the habit.

Juvenile Male Arrested for Robbery at Castle Pines North Convenience Store

NARRATIVE: DOUGLAS COUNTY: Douglas County deputies arrest a 15 year old juvenile shortly after being called to a Castle Pines North convenience store in reference to a robbery.

On 10/09/10 at around 09:41 am, deputies responded to the Shell gas station in Castle Pines North in reference to a robbery that had just occurred. The clerk relayed that a white male came up to the counter and asked for cigarettes. When the clerk put the cigarettes on the counter, the white male pulled a pistol from his waistband and pointed it at the clerk. The suspect then took a pack of cigarettes and fled the store on foot.

Patrol deputies responded to the area and located the male, who matched the description given by the clerk. He was taken into custody without incident.

The 15 year old, from Castle Rock, faces charges of Aggravated Robbery, Menacing, and Theft.
