• Peter budaj deserves praise for the job he has done the last few weeks. He has been solid after being thrust into a new situation (starting) and given the team a chance in every one of his starts so far.. His work and dedication to the club make him MVP.

• my vote is for Winnik. He hasnt put up a ton of points yet but is very consistent every game. Of course Stastny makes it all happen, but Winnik flies under the radar and definitely has potential to rise up several levels as the year progresses

• My vote for the Avs MVP would be John Michael Liles. He set the record to start the season and continues to pile up points. More importantly, after being in Sacco's doghouse last year, he's shown what great things can be accomplished once you've bought into the system.

• Kevin shattenkirk MVP. The emergence of shatty as a quality defenceman will mark the start of the youth movement for the D and spark the housecleaning of the avs' full cupboard of inconsistent d-men.

• There once was a man named Duchene. He�s known to cause the opposition pain. His specialty is speed and skill. But adding his first NHL fight� places the Avalanche MVP firmly in sight. Dutchy, Dutchy he�s our man, if he can�t do it, Stewart and others will have the plan.

• John Michael Liles deserves to be MVP at this point in the season. His work is tireless on both ends of the ice and he is showing great veteran leadership. Solid on defense, sacrificing the body and making smart plays and backing up at the other end of the ice jumping up in the play and essentially givingcthe avalanche a 4th forward on every one of his shifts. He has been outstanding and deserves to get alot of recognition for the work he has done to start off the season.

• John-Michael Liles deserves the MVP. He started the season by breaking an NHL record for consecutive point streak to start the season as a defenseman and has improved his overall play in both ends of the ice and has really embraced a leadership role on a team with such a young group of defense.

• Paul Stastny. He's consistent and has averaged a point a game this season.

• The MVP for this year for this year is the man that is the peanut butter to Stastny's jelly. The man that scores dirty down low, and beautifully on break-aways. The man that can single handedly lift the team back into the game with a scary slap-shot or by dropping the gloves. Who else but Chris Stewart.

• One of 2 Avs with shots on goal in every game, Dan Winnik refuses to be outworked on any shift, especially on the pk or backchecking. Winnik's ability to calmly posses the puck gives this team momentum when they struggle. He's the MVP example to count on every single night.

• Ryan O'Reilly will be the Avs MVP. I don't know much about hockey, but the Irish have to be good at something besides drinking right?

• The MVP has got to be Chris Motherfuckin Stewart. He's a bad motherfucker. You think you can stop Chris Motherfuckin Stewart? Fuck no bitch! But neither can any of the other mutherfuckers in the NHL. He can come up the left side, the right side it don't fucking matter, you'll be in the same spot. On you mutherfuckin ass watching Chris Motherfukin Stewart score on your busted up team.

• Paul Stastny. Stewart may be the one who puts up the goals, and might end up with more points by the end of the season, but he is really just a product of Stastny. We've seen it in previous seasons that Statsny can pretty much play with anyone and make them better. He also makes the smart simple plays. He may not be on the highlight reel often, and not as flashy as players like Duchene, but he makes the right plays at the right time. He has also taken on the leadership role, even though Foote is still captain, Statsny has been maturing into a leader more and more.

• I'm going for the upset. BOODS FOR MVP! .906SV% 2.70GAA and this with up to "FOUR" rookie D-men! Andy's been weak with 2on1 opps. Budaj has made many big stops. Boods has been great on and off the ice. I'll even say lets give Budaj the "C" when Foot retires!!!

• Despite a slow start, Craig Anderson will be the MVP. The Avs defense hasn�t done much to help him but he�s up to the challenge. The first Avs playoff game I�ve attended was his shutout last year in game three against the Sharks so I know he�s capable of greatness.

• The Avalanche's MVP this season will be John-Michael Liles. Liles has thrived offensively and has improved his defensive play. He is a plus nine, tied in third place among all defenseman for points with sixteen. As a veteran, he can lead a group of rookies to play calmly and responsibly.

• I think Duchesne will be MVP, mostly because I've heard him described as "scrappy," and scrappy's pretty much what you want out of your hockey MVP, right?

• As long as he keeps up the pace, John Michael Liles will be MVP. As a defenseman, he�s the 4th highest scorer on the 3rd highest scoring team in the NHL. In addition to being an offensive threat, he�s sound defensively, boasting a whopping +9 rating through 17 games.

• My Guess is Chris Stewart. He's coming off his first full season, where he led the team in scoring which solidifies his position as one of the AVS top 3 or 4 players. He's got great size and speed and has quick hands. Go Chris and go AVS!
