• Blue, you suck. You don't know anything about this situation and your analysis is completely subjective. Get some facts and then maybe your explanations will sound rational. Conservative people like you make Colorado Springs suck way more than it should and you make me sick.

• You're ridiculous. This girl is as much a guilty party as he is. In fact, I know this kid and he's probably the nicest person I've ever met. This was completely consenual and trust me, it wasn't just his fault. Her parents are stupid and don't know that they're daughter is a big, big WHORE.

• INNOCENCE IS BLATANT. The only way this man could be considered INNOCENT was if there was NEVER any contact with this child outside of his pastoral duties. I hope as his friend you understand, your responsibility in this situation. In case, you do not understand your responsibility....IT IS NOT TO MAKE EXCUSES FOR HIM unless, of course he is MENTALLY INCOMPETANT and then, in that case the Church is to blame for not adequetly protecting the young girls and boys in their care.

• Yes, except for the fact that chilren can not "date" adults. They can however, in the begenning of puberty become aroused, flattered, needy, dependent, confused, suicidal and easily taken advantage of, tricked, manipulated and destroyed by someone who is not fourteen years old but, twenty-one years old, a pastor and a heartless, selfish SOB!

• HOW DARE YOU! A fourteen year old girl does not have the mental capacity of a twenty-one year old woman. Nor does she have the mental OR the emotional capacity of a twenty-one year old man. Nor does she adequetely understand the impact and the consequences of her actions. Nor does she undestand the unfair advantage he had in her situation with him. THIS IS NOT A RELATIONSHIP OF EQUALITY. She is a CHILD. My heart goes out to her mother and father. Especially wiith a man whom is not a stranger off the street but, someone whom is a young, handsom and respected man in a the trusted position of "having access" to their daughter! He superior to their daughter in every way! Obviously, there is an unfair advantage of power, strength,experience and RESPONSABILITY between the child and the adult in question. Children by definition, are NOT RESPONSIBLE for their actions because, they lack the understanding, experience, emotional and mental capacity of an adult regardless, of their outward apearance. Your suggestion is OUTRAGEOUS. This is why a man who preys upon a child whom is seven years away from being CONSIDERED AN ADULT is considered a CRIMINAL, AND RIGHTFULLY SO, regardless, of YOUR SO CALLED PERSPECTIVE on the childs willingness to participate. Your ignorance is so blatant. It is you who needs to do a little soul searching my dear. You are very small minded. Children are abused by their own fathers, uncles, teachers every day. They have no concept of love and suffer from guilt over the acceptance of their own abuser's advances for their entire lives. You sound like the kind of woman who would blame her own daughter and probably, jealously accuse her own daughter of "asking for it" if you were in these circumstances or if you discovered she had engaged in similar circumstances with your husband or boyfriend. You make me sick. HE KNEW BETTER, HE UNDERSTOOD THE COSTS AND THE CONSEQUENCES OF HIS ACTIONS AND NOW IT'S TIME TO PAY THOSE COSTS. I hope her parents never see your post. You make me sick. HE HAD AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE, HE BETRAYED THE CHILDS PARENTS, HE BETRAYED THE CHURCH AND EVERY OTHER PARENT WHO'S DAUGHTER'S WERE IN HIS CARE. The laws exist for this reason, this is statuatory rape! How sad it is to see you blaming the innocent child whom BY LAW IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR HER OWN ACTIONS! The fact that you are a woman, is even more infuriating to me. You sould ask GOD, to help you with your own outlook on life. Above all you should understand that a FEMALE CHILD is the most victimized human being on earth in every nation and in every social circumstance. It is our responsibility as adults to do everything possible to protect and understand the vulnerability of "a woman child" and to give her all the leaway she deserves when she is taken advantage of by someone who KNOWS BETTER! God bless us and forgive us our sins! As am unable to forgive those who sin against us!

• I know this man personally, and cannot see him doing anything this horrific. No, I am not saying the allegations are completely ungrounded, but I ask that those investigating this go into the investigation with open eyes. "it's better to turn five guilty men loose than it is to convict one innocent man"

• I'm sorry and this might sound ridiculous but if they are having sex 15 times and they are exchanging 16000 texts, one can hardly call that assult. she is a minor and i agree he needs to be punished severly but come on....I believe God needs to do some work in BOTH of them. this is not one side or the other.... she was just as much engaged.
