Perrish Cox, Denver Broncos cornerback, arrested in Lone Tree on sexual assault charge

As if we haven't received enough bad news about the Denver Broncos lately, here's a lousy development of an entirely different (and much more serious) kind: Cornerback Perrish Cox has been arrested in Lone Tree on a sexual assault charge dating back to an incident in October. At this point, the Lone Tree PD is keeping a tight grasp on most of the details -- but here's the info personnel are releasing thus far, along with two angles on Cox from his booking photo.

Sexual Assault Arrest

Lone Tree, Colorado -- On October 28, 2010, the Lone Tree Police Department was notified that a sexual assault had occurred in the City of Lone Tree.

After a lengthy and detailed investigation, a case was presented to the District Attorney's Office. After review by the District Attorney's Office, charges were filed and an arrest warrant was issued. Perrish Eugene Cox, DOB: 01-10-1987, was arrested on December 9, 2010, without incident, and transported to the Douglas County Jail.

The case filing has been sealed by Court order at the request of the District Attorney's Office to protect the identity of the alleged victim pursuant to 24-72-304, and to ensure that the Defendant's right to a fair and impartial trial are protected.
