Carmelo Anthony trade: Melo using Twitter to vent and whine about rumors and haters

Categories: Sports, Tech

The talk of a blockbuster Carmelo Anthony trade to the New Jersey Nets continues to build, and with it the pressure on Melo.

Throughout the process, he's been cautious with his public comments -- but in the past day or so, posts on his Twitter feed have grown increasingly whiny and defensive.

For instance, he posted this early Wednesday morning:

First they love you, then they hate you..............less than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhone

He seemed to apologize for the tone of this tweet, sort of, a few minutes later:

Not complaining just a real statementless than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhone

But less than a half an hour later came this:

die a hero or live long enuff to become a villainless than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhone

Followed quickly by this:

Far from letting it get to me. Can't a MF just vent. Damn. Lolless than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhone

And he wasn't finished. Here's a tweet from 1:26 a.m.:

You can be a delicious, ripe peach and there will still be people in the world that hate peaches.....lmaoless than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhone

And then, ten minutes later...

Despite all the haters, much love to my supporters and fans. That's all that matters.less than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhone

Within the hour, Melo appeared to have tweeters remorse. He finished up with these two statements:

I just looked at myself in the mirror and my reflection told me "Thank You". Gott go to sleep on that. Lolless than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhone

Tomorrow is a new day. Stay blessed. Goodnight. 500less than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhone

Don't know how much longer this trade ordeal can drag out -- but it's clearly taking its toll on everyone. Including the man who prompted it in the first place.

You're right, we love you when you wanted to be in Denver, but if Denver isn't good enough for you, agree to the trade, take your money and run, and get this all over with. If you don't want to be here, get the f.... out! Enough of your silly drama, give the fans back their team, players that appreciate how blessed they are to be playing in a city with great fans. Bye!

Don't feel bad Mel, its not you.... well it is you and the fact that we (denver) feel like you gave up on us. But, that's besides the point now. Now the issue is how you carry yourself through the end of your time with the nugs. I mean do you really want people to think of you as another Lebron? That dude is a pompus assshole. Although from the sound of your tweets you obviously are an ego trippin fool. And for the record... tweeting about a conversation you had with yourself is just sad.

Good points, dela ego trip. LeBron got in trouble for a tweet the other day, too, didn't he? Thanks for reading and posting.
