Medical marijuana dispensary review: Patients Plus gets a minus

• This place sucks and with all the choices in the area, its better to go somewhere else.  Its in a really bad neighborhood.  I suggest you avoid this place if you can. The place is on the news for robbery every few months...  If you want to get some quality you better off going downtown and get the real deal.

• I had a good experience at Patients Plus! Plus I liked the green and white paint. It helped me find the place. Mike and Betty were very nice. Mike seems to know his medicine. I was glad to find a place with $25 specials. I will be back!!!  

• I drove out there from Littleton after seeing their ad in Westword and found this to be the most disappointing dispensary I have ever been. I was expecting a great marijuana smell when I walked in. No I was greeted with a dead animal smell. The smell made me feel sick. So did the brownish baby poop paint on the walls. What is with the badly painted black ceiling with red-yellow-brownish floor? The room was a sparsely furnished space with a couple of old fashioned broken grannies chairs from someone’s basement.   The girl behind bullet proof glass had no personality. My verification took awhile cus she was too busy with other employees listening to there clubbing the night before.  She took a little over 15 minutes to verify me.  The rest of the gang needed to figure out that I needed to be let in.  I guess they cant afford a lock to buzz you in. I had to wait even longer for the gangsta tenda to open the door. I was the only patient in there or I would have left.   The dispensary waiting room has a baby poop green splashed on the walls covered with horrible abstract paintings. They should put those paintings in a trash can and my boyfriend would gladly light it up. There dispensary was filled with miss matched furniture and decorations.  They must be trying to fill their big empty space with there friends used furniture.   The tender acted like a gangsta. I all ready did not feel safe in this part of town. I felt like I was buying drugs from a gang member instead of buying meds from a compassionate caregiver. I asked the tender a question and had to wait awhile for him to take a hit off his joint before he could think of answering back.  Let's just say he might have been a little over medicated to say the least. He was having such a good time with the other employees that he ignored me.   Finally he showed me some meds but I saw no quality medicine. I saw buds with white partials on them. I asked him what it was and he told me it was tricombs.  It more looked like white plastic partials. He told me that everything is top shelf but it looked like middle to bottom shelf. I thought all the meds were over priced at $35. That is too much for these weak meds. The $25 special was still to much. If all the meds were priced at $25. I might have bought one. One big problem was most of the strains was lacking in crystal. There was only 12 strains and not 30 to choose from. He had no sativas available. Just indicas and hybrids. I need the up energy that sativas have. He showed me some sativa ear wax that was sulfur yellow and it smelled the same. The tender told me it was CO2 extracted but I could easily smell the butane so I passed.     I didn’t pass on the free joint but I should have. They seemed mad when I only wanted to try the free joint. The free joint wasn’t even made of shake or trimmings. It was more like water leaves with no crystal. I won't be going back to patients plus again. There's a couple of things that I would rather do than go back there and one of them includes burning my house down. If you enjoy being insulted and being over charged then this is your place!

• Where do I start with this terrible place? These people are just out to make money off of their patients. Seriously, $35/.125 for some bud that tastes like dirt and grass never priced right, it seems like they just price the meds according to how much money they can make off of it, not the quality or how much they actually pay for it. I guess it wouldn't be too bad if you could know exactly what you're getting, but their quality is just not reliable enough. Since then I have met a private caregiver whose prices put this company to shame. Dont waste your time and money like I did.  

• Patients Plus is the worst MMC that I have been to so far. The owner Mike Kollarits does not know a thing about mmj. He has a big ego and provides the worst customer service. They are about getting your money and not giving you what you paid for. HE stands there and braggs that he is the grower. He should just say he got in a bad batch. I will not be back.

• Will, I know exactly what you are saying! In my opinion, Patients Plus Sucks and I will never go there again. I went there last month and it was assume. A guy named David owned it and he bend over backwards to please every customer. The place was well stocked with meds, edibles, and pipes at great prices. Then his grower, made up some lies and threw David out. Now Mike runs the place and it sucks! He raised the prices, brought in crappy meds, and when I looked in his eyes, I saw evil! I will never go back there. Bud

• John, thank you for pointing that out. I tend to write these late at night, plus the fact that all dispensary names start to sound the same... I'll fix that now.

• It isn't, nor did the budtender imply that it was -- he just said it would be a heavy high that might help for pain.

• I support the shops that do it RIGHT. I don't care where they're from (though I'm about 80% sure PC is locally owned and operated). We live on an interconnected globe people...get over the "local first" jive.

• patient's choice is from california-and one of the reasons why HB 1284 exits :( stellar herb or not-support your LOCAL shop!

• Correction needed: you referred to this place as Patient's Choice in your review (4th para). Obviously, this place can't hold a candle to the stellar dispensary that is Patient's Choice. I'd love to see an updated review of the real PC.

• I wouldn't say that. There's plenty of shops offering amazing quality herb and plenty of "caregivers" selling crap (as you know, things like powdery mildew don't discriminate). I urge patients to look around and find the best options to fit them -- whether that is a private caregiver or the convenience of a dispensary or a combination of both. thanks for commenting.

• Thanks for reinforcing the notion that when you really need relief you turn to your caregiver because caregivers always have better bud. I think it's because caregivers grow smaller batches and truly care for each individual plant rather than mass producing. The dispensary strains shown appear premature and mass produced as is often the case when trying to grow and sell mass amounts of cannabis.
