Speed Candidating Mail-in Ballot4.jpg

Ballots for the 2011 General Municipal Election were mailed out to voters late last week. With nine candidates running for Denver mayor, voters will need to keep a "cheat sheet" handy. Doug Linkhart Speed Candidating Denver Mayor Election 2011 Kenny BE Westword Blog.jpg

As seen above, the Speed Candidating profile for Doug Linkhart condenses the essence of the man and his mayoral mission. This abbreviated version is best understood when read in a side-by-side comparison with Speed Candidating profiles of the other eight mayoral candidates.

In his first mayoral profile published in Westword's Latest Word blog last November, Linkhart divulged his desire to run as a grassroots candidate. After six months of campaigning, Doug Linkhart has emerged as the grassiest of grassroots candidates with his pro-marijuana platform. He has even won the endorsement of the Tea Pot Party!

Make no mistake, Doug Linkhart is no one-hit wonder. He is perhaps the mayoral candidate whose wealth can be measured in great ideas, and not necessarily in campaign commercials:

Only Pro-Cannabis candidate. If we can stop an unconstitutional and unscientific bill from becoming law then why the hell not get a mayor of Denver elected too.

I agree, he has my vote! Also, lets work on getting some MMJ supporters in the city council in Denver and surrounding communities.

Be sure to vote for Jesse Shelmire and Rich Gonzalez for City Councilors at large! Warren Edson is running as a write-in in District 8 too.
