Michael Hancock wears Webb's shoes in Denver mayor's race: Kenny Be's Speed Candidating

As seen above, the Speed Candidating profile for Michel Hancock condenses the essence of the man and his mayoral mission. This abbreviated version is best understood when read in a side-by-side comparison with Speed Candidating profiles of the other eight mayoral candidates.

Last week, former mayor Wellington Webb held a "passing of the sneakers" ceremony for Michael Hancock at Crescent Park in Lowry. The symbolic gesture was meant to be a reminder of Webb's campaign history, if not a warning about the costly missteps of a runaway administration.

But Michael Hancock will not be able to completely follow in Webb's footsteps. These are much different times and Hancock will have to run his own race if he wants to show voters what he means when he says, "we are all Denver."
