Original item, 10:05 a.m. May 5: About 4:20 p.m. yesterday, the Denver Police Department received a call in regard to a home on the 1900 block of East 35th Street. Phoning were relatives concerned about someone who lived there, and they had every reason to worry.
A woman inside had become a homicide victim.
According to Denver Police Department spokesman Sonny Jackson, the woman was pronounced dead at the home and homicide investigators were called. Shortly thereafter, he says, a number of people were taken into custody -- "several witnesses as well as a couple people of interest. We're not calling them suspects at this time."
