Kenneth Matthews victim of fatal stabbing on 2100 block of Lawrence Street (72)

Earlier this week, we told you about a fatal stabbing on the 2100 block of Lawrence Street. The Denver coroner's office has now identified the victim of this crime as Kenneth Matthews, 43, of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He died of stab wounds to the chest.

Thus far, the Denver Police Department has made no arrests nor named any suspects. Look below to see our previous coverage.

Original item, 11:28 a.m. May 2: The bloodshed continues. At around 2:40 a.m. last night, the Denver Police responded to a call about a wounded man on the 2100 block of Lawrence Street. They soon found a person who appeared to have been stabbed -- and shortly after his arrival at Denver Health, he was pronounced dead.

At this point, no suspect information is being released.

Likewise, the victim of the crime hasn't been identified. The Denver coroner's office will make the announcement in what's being investigated as a homicide.
