As pictured above, the Neal Cassady, Allen Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac cultivars of the Five Points beet are perfectly round and universally read. Baby beets are known for their sweet flesh, and much like their literary counterparts, harvesting them helps promote the growth of the remaining beets.

Most hybrids ripen all at once, but Five Points beets are designed to produce roots all season long. Lush red-veined foliage is disease resistant and makes a colorful cooked green that pairs well with wine, Eastern religion, alternative forms of sexuality and marijuana.
