• Michael, Good on ya for running this very typica enviousl conservative reaction to the Bin Laden killing. I rarely do this, but yesterday I listened to caplis and his lapdog for about 10-15 minutes. They were very disrespectfull to the President as usual, but their overriding theme was, as expected, ramming the "torture got Bin Laden" con down the throats of their listeners. The two of them even shouted down a brilliant caller that eviscerated them over the hypoyhetical red herring question "would you waterboard under such and such circumstances", hanging up on this very sharp listener, calling him "unreasonable". It was obvious the guy won the discussion, but you'd never know it by the way the two of them congratulated eachother over taking the cowardly way out and cutting the guy off. The point of this post is to ask you to do a piece, opinion obviously, on the contortions ALL the conservative media is twisting themselves into over the brilliant operation that killed the world's most wanted terrorists. The unmitigated attempts to steal the day, to rewrite history and call the President's role minimal, and the republicans the catalysts and executors of this great victory. Can't wait.
