TCF Bank robbery suspects caught near C-470 & Bowles after another Jeffco schools lockdown

Chatfield High and other southwest Jeffco schools were locked down on April 20 after Earl Moore's alleged attempt to bomb Southwest Plaza, on April 21 after a bomb scare at Stony Creek Elementary that turned out to be nothing -- and again today. Why?

According to Jefferson County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Jacki Kelly, a successful search for bank robbery suspects. Kelly says the TCF bank, at 9470 South University Boulevard in Douglas County, was robbed earlier today, after which information about a possible get-away vehicle information was shared with law enforcement agencies throughout the area.

Shortly thereafter, a car matching the description was spotted near C-470 and Bowles, sans driver and passengers. Turns out they'd fled the vehicle on foot, prompting the lockdown. However, Kelly says three suspects have been captured -- IDs pending -- and the schools have been given the all-clear to re-open as usual.

For the third time in less than two weeks...
