Brianna Rae Ramon ID'd as homicide victim in West Gill Place house party gone wrong (75)

Update: The Denver coroner has identified the seventeen-year-old girl who died early on Mother's Day morning amid a house-party-spawned brawl. The victim is Brianna Rae Ramon of Brighton, and she died of a gunshot wound to the head. Thus far, no arrests have been made in the case. Look below to see our previous coverage.

Original item, 8:02 a.m. May 9: A mother's worst nightmare took place early on Mother's Day morning. A party on the 2100 block of West Gill Place featuring the front-door sign "All our visitors bring happiness -- some by coming, some by going" boiled onto the street and gunfire erupted, injuring one man and killing a seventeen-year-old girl.

Neither the girl, who was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 2:22 a.m. yesterday, or the male gunshot victim have been identified thus far. In the meantime, representatives of the Denver Police Department are continuing to look for several witnesses who fled the scene after the shooting, in the hope they can ID the shooter.
