• While I agree that many e-Learning options are viable, I believe some courses are still best on-ground. The face-to-face classroom interactions are hard to replicate on-line. In addition, certain methods courses or lab-based courses are virtually impossible to replicate on-line.

• Great infographic, had no idea some of these initiatives started so early!

• very interesting! Thanks to all those technologies we can stay home and be with our family while learning!

• The real question is, is this quality education.  Generally that answer is probably not... acquiring information is one thing, job training is another, and learning/education is something completely different.  The University of Phoenix is under investigation because of shady enrollment practices.  Khan academy is kind of a joke (have you checked it out?) - while some of the math lessons (really just demos) are decent, most everything else is just culled from Wikipedia. I'm not familiar with "open university" in the UK, but I do know that some universities in the US are also putting lectures online.  These things can help us learn facts or information, but they don't necessarily replace education in the sense of working with others to gain knowledge, critical analysis, and perspective.
