Kurt Ward, 27, was arrested for his approach to getting off -- and now, some observers may feel he got off too easily.

He's been sentenced to three years of intensive supervised probation for breaking into a neighbor's house and fondling panties belonging to a sixteen-year-old girl.

According to the 18th Judicial District DA's office, Ward had been leering at the girl for quite some time prior to May 31, 2010. That's when her father and brother discovered Ward in her room.

Upon being discovered, he ran out of the house, but he didn't get far. Littleton cops soon apprehended him -- an experience he must not have liked very much, since he fought with them as he was taken into custody. In March, he pleaded guilty to Burglary 2/Misdemeanor Criminal Mischief, and a few days later, he was also found guilty of obstruction of justice of a peace officer in Arapahoe County District Court. But at yesterday's sentencing, he received no time behind bars -- although he'll be watched closely for the next three years.

Turnabout is fair play. Here's a larger version of Ward's mug shot.

If he was Black or Hispanic he would have gotten away with it.

Here we have what will undoubtedly the beginnings of a long list of sex crimes from this turd.   He needs a .38 in the back of his head now because it's only a matter of time before he rapes someone.

I would have expected that fella to go to jail for seeking revenge on his hair stylist.

This perv needs more than a slap on the wrist. This is the beginning of some really bad stuff...next it won't be enough to break into houses for undies and he'll be attacking and raping women, and then what after that? I've read so many cases on killers and rapists where they started off doing crap like this...if only someone had stopped them/upped the punishment before it got way worse.  This is a huge red flag, something more should be done with this loser

I agree and disagree.  Unfortunately he hasn't "done" anything yet but you, I, and everyone else knows that there is a 99% chance that he will rape, sexually assault, or something worse to some poor girl.  He should've been given jail time.  I am all for summarily executing these sick degenerates but it's still hard when he hasn't actually hurt someone.

You're right. We should lock him up for pre-rape, pre-sexual assault, and pre-rape/murder in the first. In fact, let's just send him to the gas chamber now for his terrible, terrible acts because it's apparently guaranteed that he will turn into a sexual predator, and his actions now are in no way a sign of simple bad judgement.Oh sure, he hasn't done any of these things yet, but LanceButterfly is an expert on sexual criminal behavior, psychology, and the justice system, and clearly this pervert should be severely punished for all the sick, horrible, twisted stuff they MIGHT do.

While we're at it, we should also fine LanceButterfly for their next 3 speeding tickets, prosecute for pre-divorce, and punch him in the face right now for all the times LanceButterfly is going to act like a total douchebag in public or set a poor example for their kids."This is a huge red flag, something more should be done with this loser"that's why he's under intense scrutiny for the next 3 years -- to help sure he doesn't do it again.

Buy him 10 pairs of panties from the nearest Forever 21 and send him to Utah where things like this happen every day.

You know what? That's probably true, that in a lot of cases it starts with things like this and then escalates but the law isnt here to prosecute you for what you might do, and thank God for that, but rather what you did and that's why he only got three years intensive probation and counceling. Perhaps with that they can stop him from doing somehting in the future and hopefully you're not right and he winds up doing something worse next time. Why cut off the head to cure a headache? Yes, there's a sexual element to it, but legally it's just a B&E. If we start opening the door to jailing people for thought crimes it will never end and it will extend to more than just sex crimes. People have been put away for thought crimes in repressive societies simply for saying something against the state.

Utahans might disagree with that -- but thanks for the strong take anyhow, Gary.

I agree as well. But I can't help wondering if he'd been black, would he have gotten off with "intensive probation?" Seriously, I can't help wondering.

If he'd been black or hispanic he would have gotten jail time. Whether people want to admit it or not, that's simply the way it is. Blacks and Latino's, statistically, are locked up at higher rates than whites. It's a racist system.
