Reader: Ward Churchill's firing deserved even if he didn't compare 9/11 victims to a Nazi

• 4) Can the University fire an incompetent plagiarist if they wait until he makes incredibly offensive and embarrassing public comments to do so? GROW-UP.  The Truth is usually offensive and embarrassing when one watches similar towers in other countries burn for almost 2 days and stay standing.  95% of the world must offend you

• the only time he ever passed off another persons work as his own is as a "Native American Artist". I have my own major problems with Ward stealing Native American art and passing it off as his own. That is not the subject at hand. 

• It's everyone. And Kwame needs a dictionary.  "Plagiarism" isn't qualfied by whether the stolen material is in an "academic paper" or for academic use.   It's passing off another's work as your own.  So ask yourself why you hate freedom so much?....ooops.

• Does everyone who thinks Churchill was unqualified to head UC's Department of Ethnic Studies hate freedom, or is it just me?

• none of the works he was accused of publishing w/ plagiarism in tact were ever meant for academic use, nor actually ever used in academia.  did you know that?  a professor who writes hundreds/ of works each year, does not need to cite fucking quotations on the middle of what is essentially an editorial pamphlet, unless he absorbs it into an academic paper which he intends to publish for use in the academic world. you could find plenty of precedents where sloppy citations by tenured professors have never ever resulted in even a blink of an eye by universities all over the USA. you could find many many more precedents where those same tenured professors have passed along editorials outside of academia and very certainly and eyebrow was never even raised. So ask yourself why you hate freedom so much?
