Reader: Wild horse management shouldn't devolve into wild horse torture

Alan Prendergast's latest wild-horses post juxtaposes a tribute to a stallion named Cloud, seen here, with the Colorado General Assembly's support for Bureau of Land Management herd-thinning policies.

One reader supports wild-horse management, as long as it's done humanely.

Flirthustler writes:

I get keeping them at a healthy number and all of that but seriously catching them and putting them in holding pens so small that they get hurt and can't move around then the other abuse they suffer is unspeakable!! How dare people think that is ok!! Anyone with a heart would think that was a horrible way to have to be if they would just open their eyes and heart to the process in which these horses are treated! Come on people wake up!
