Michael Bennet wants you to sign a debt-ceiling petition urging politicians to agree on something

• To the House of Representatives and to the Senate:   Shame on all of you. You should be ashamed of yourselves because you are holding the people of our country hostage and are terrorizing them. These are the people that you have sworn to serve when you took office. You know what needs to be done, yet you are all grandstanding because you want something from the president or your constituents. What you are doing has nothing to do about your constituents (unless they are all big business or rich), it is about YOU manipulating the government and the country.   Who are you really thinking about? Are you thinking about the Vets who fought for this county?  Of course not. You want to continue wars but take away any veterans' benefits that you can.   Are you thinking about the senior citizens that have worked all of their lives - paid taxes and social security? How many of them are dying at this very minute because you are scaring them to death by threatening to take what little funds they have to live on?   What about the the disabled who have no way to earn money or to take care of themselves?   How can you feel good about any of this?  You are holding them hostage in your battle to control the government! You threaten to take everything from them, including their dignity!   Shame on you! Who the heck do you think you are?   Maybe you should let these people that you swore to serve decide how and what should be cut, and vote on that.  Since it is your job to balance the budget and control the country's finances, perhaps you should listen to the accountants, instead of big business and the rich.
