Reader: If you think those Denver speed traps are bad, get a load of these

Yesterday, Alan Prendergast counted down the five worst speed traps in Denver, according to one website.

But they're hardly the only places where heavy-footed drivers are in danger of picketing, according to a reader.

Tina Martinez writes:

Tejon St between Alameda and 2nd Av. Speed Limit is set artificially low at 25mph in an industrial/commercial zone rather than at least 30 mph, preferably 35mph. Plenty of vegetation in alcoves between structures for motorcycle cops from DPD to hide, usually between 8am and 4pm. The second worst asinine artificially low speed limit on a Denver street, behind the ridiculous 30mph zone on 1st Ave between Downing and University west of Cherry Creek Mall. These two zones, among numerous others, are merely revenue generators for city government. These radar units should be always in school zones instead, and in areas where there is marked pedestrian traffic such as along Colfax, Broadway, Federal, and Evans.
