Several states have passed laws against the slander of their produce (I believe there was an effort in Colorado to pass such a law, but I don't think it succeeded).

This affair is not all that amusing -- more than a dozen nursing home residents less than happy, two of them dead, and there must be gloom in the town that thinks of its name as a brand of cantaloupe -- what does Rocky Ford have besides its cantaloupes?  .
