Yesterday, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests accused the Vatican, as well as four officials, including Pope Benedict XVI, of crimes against humanity at the International Criminal Court in the Hague. To draw more attention to this action, members of SNAP's Denver branch demonstrated at a local church yesterday. According to SNAP Denver's Jeb Barrett, similar media events "were held in some two dozen cities throughout the U.S., and in the coming days, others will follow."

Barrett considers SNAP's filing to be "big news," because "someone needs to stop the systematic sexual abuse of children and vulnerable adults."

Look below to see photos of local protesters, provided by SNAP.
