• The irrational way that you fling insults shows your immaturity GFTW. You are obviously someone who has little empathy or compassion for anyone who is different than you. I feel sorry for you. You must be a very unhappy person. People at Occupy Wallstreet actually have good reason to be angry. They have been oppressed by people like you. Then you come on this site to continuue your oppression of the 99%. Occupy Wallstreet will spread to all corners of this country. You and all oppressors like you will be stopped. Your posts on sites like this will only add fuel to us. We are the 99% and don't forget it.

You are laboring under the misapprehension that the people at Occupy Denver are unemployed -- again, were you to investigate instead of assume, you would find any number of employed persons protesting.  Rep. McKinley is one, but there are many others.

• The very fact that they're protesting in the streets and expecting it to accomplish anything just shows what fools they are. We've also all seen the photos of the protestors pooping on police cars, flags, etc. -- by and large they're a step above animals.

• I spoke to about a hundred people there, and the majority of the protestors were educated, articulate and...wait for it...employed. Yes. They have jobs. This is not just a bunch of disaffected hippies. These people are passionate, very aware of their rights, and very, very pissed. The common thread among all of them is that they are tired of being broke, and tired of not being heard. It's easy to sit behind a keyboard and judge, but I challenge you PC warriors to actually go there and spend some time talking to the demonstrators. You will be surprised at what you see and hear.

• Yawn. I can tell from afar that it's a complete waste of time, and that the participants are ignorant idiots with nothing better to do.

• True enough, but Colorado is full of poor spellers, e.g. many of those who write for the Denver Post.  I had to correct Tom McGhee's spelling of the word "obelisk" in his piece on the Occupation this morning, and he's one of the generation (generally capable of spelling, punctuating, and using words correctly) they are getting rid of!  When the DP cuts the more-than-semi literate 20% of its newsroom staff, what's left may not be even semi-literate.

• There are many different people there.  Had you spent any time at Occupy Denver and spoken to participants, you would have known that.  Why not come down and meet the people there instead of spewing stupid invective online?

• I happen to agree with you, for the most part. However, Starbucks is strangely sympathetic to the cause in many ways. First, because of the sheer bulk of coffee beans they have to purchase, they negotiate with governments, not just farmers, to ensure that their beans are fairly purchased. Second, in the US they are working with a campaign called "Create Jobs for USA" (http://www.createjobsforusa.org/) which is funding small business loans, and contributing millions and millions of dollars to this end. Third, they actually pay their workers a "living" wage and offer full benefits. So, for a conglomo-corp, they actually do alright. As for the cell phones, yes, it's a little ironic; but as far as I know, cell providers are still based in the US and, though they are greedy, they don't actively steal you pension. The reality is that we have the technology and it would be silly to not be able to communicate just on principle. I mean, people out there are wearing clothes which were probably made by a small child in a third world country...but you can't go naked and the other options are scarce.  

• The flag picture is funny as just a couple pics down feature protesters with Starbucks coffee and a cell phone.  I guess some just aren't true to the cause, right?  Idiots...

• Ya know, if those people were busy tied down to full time jobs, they wouldn't have time for all this.  Hopefully the government will see this and finally do something to help them get back to work.  In the meantime, they have my full support!  If I were not tied down to a full time job, I'd be right there with them! In addition, working citizens are tax paying citizens!
