Westboro Baptist Church to take on the East High Angels?
Sadly, it's too late to block the border. By now the professional picketers from Westboro Baptist Church, Fred Phelps's "god-hates-fags" group, have likely made their way from Kansas to Colorado, where they've announced plans to picket two Jewish General Assembly meetings downtown today. They're also threatening to show up at East High School at 7 a.m.

East High? The school whose mascot is the Angels?
Here's the word from the Westboro website:
Denver East High School in Denver, CO November 7, 2011 7:00 AM-7:30 AMWBC will picket Denver High School East to warn this wicked generation that their sins will take them straight to Hell. We will give your children an opportunity to see what truth looks like, the face of what they were entitled to have from every adult that ever touched their lives! You brutish teachers and hateful parents have broken the moral compass of this generation, teaching rebellion with everything you say and do.
God hates you, Doomed america, for what you have done to your children! Here is the COMMANDMENT from your God:
"And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates." Deut. 6:6-9
You will not obey that simple commandment. Instead, you corrupt your children from the womb, so God has given you violent, freakish, worthless, brute-beast children. You hate your children, and as God continues cursing you, you will turn aside to eat your children. Read the words: Deut. 28:53-58 & Lev. 26:28-29.
Fear God, and give the glory to Him, for the hour of HIS judgment is come!
All weekend, people have been rallying on Facebook to organize a proper welcoming committee for the hate-mongering Westboro crew:
1) Smile! Shake their hands! Be friendly! They may not like you and you may not like them, but we are all humans. Let's be happy! They think we are worth their time. Oh joyous of days!2) If you don't think you can manage to be kind, dont do anything. Ignore them. Don't give them the satisfaction of a response.
Of course, the WBC picketers don't always show up when they say they will. But whatever happens, we're betting the Angels win this round.
