It's the latest addition to Tim Tebow's legend: Before overtime versus San Diego, he reportedly told teammates, "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another" (aka Proverbs 27:17) and then led Denver to victory.

What Bible verse might spark the squad against the Vikings on Sunday? Here are our picks for the ten top inspirational references he's shared on Twitter and when they might come in handy, featuring photos from his Facebook page.

10. Micah 6:8:

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.

9. Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Game situation: Fourth and one on the Vikings 46.

Hi Westword! Below are my favorite bible verses.

The LORD gave this command to Joshua son of Nun: "Be strong and courageous, for you will bring the Israelites into the land I promised them on oath, and I myself will be with you."Deuteronomy 31:23Hi all-clickbank! Below are my favorite bible verses.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."Joshua 1:9

I believe.

I don't know who Tim Tebow is; but all I can say is, God bless Tim Tebow. If more 'men' were like him the world would be a joyous place to live.

God bless Tim Tebow. He has brought us all a lot of joy and laughter. He seems like a man who really tries to live by the guidelines expressed in the scriptures. The world would be a better place if more people did the same!

I'm a big fan of Matthew 6:5, even if Tebow doesn't seem to get it: "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full."

Some of my faves --

Whoever strikes his father or mother shall be put to death.  -- Exodus 21:15

All who curse their father or mother must be put to death.  They are guilty of a capital offense.  -- Leviticus 20:9

If a man commits adultery with another man's wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death.  -- Leviticus 20:10

A priest's daughter who loses her honor by committing fornication and thereby dishonors her father also, shall be burned to death.  -- Leviticus 21:9

Everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.  -- 2 Chronicles 15:13

But if this charge is true (that she wasn't a virgin on her wedding night), and evidence of the girls virginity is not found, they shall bring the girl to the entrance of her fathers house and there her townsman shall stone her to death.  -- Deuteronomy  22:20

Make ready to slaughter his sons for the guilt of their fathers; Lest they rise and posses the earth, and fill the breadth of the world with tyrants.  -- Isaiah 14:21

If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father.  Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her. -- Deuteronomy 22:28-29

If within the city a man comes upon a maiden who is betrothed, and has relations with her, you shall bring them both out of the gate of the city and there stone them to death: the girl because she did not cry out for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbors wife. -- Deuteronomy 22:23-24

When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are.  If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again.  But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her.  And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter.  If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. -- Exodus 21:7-11

IT IS FINE TO PRAY IN PUBLIC IF YOUR HEART IS GENUINE. TEBOW DOESN'T DO IT TO SHOW OFF. HE DOES IT TO COMMUNICATE WITH GOD. CAN'T JUDGE TEBOW FOR THAT BECAUSE YOU DO NOT KNOW HIS HEART.

Its you who needs to read the Bible more. That scripture wasn't saying you can't pray in the open, God wants us to pray anytime we feel like it, he was just saying don't JUST pray out in the open. There are people who are Christians out in the open but not in private. If you pray in private as well as in public God doesn't mind because than you aren't a hypocrite. So if you pray out in the opening that is fine with God as long as you pray in private also.

He would need to actually read the book in order to understand his sins...

These are all taken from the Old Testament. The Law of the Old Testament was abolished and nailed to the cross with Jesus Christ. "By calling this covenant "new," He has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear." -Hebrews 8:13 You can have your say and lash out at Tebow for his faith, but at least do your homework first.

The old testament (covenant) was designed to show man that he cound not ever atone for his own sins (He could never be good enough)  to EARN his was into peace with God. Which is why Jesus had to become the one perfect atoning sacrifice.

Way to take Bible verses out of context.  You should actually read the Bible sometime.  I recommend the JPS Tanakh version since that was translated by Jews directly from Hebrew.
