Pussy tweets and more help CU land Top 100 recruit Yuri Wright

Yuri Wright.
How did CU land New Jersey cornerback Yuri Wright, a top 100 recruit coveted by plenty of other major universities? Part of the thanks go to a series of profane tweets that got him expelled from his prep school -- after the football season was over, of course.

Most mainstream outlets are referring to the posts only in vague terms, but we're all about sharing. See a sampling below.

Lots of the tweets collected by Chat Sports from Wright's now-shuttered account feature a certain "N" word. But there are also references to other ethnicities, like this one:

Still, the dominant theme is neatly summed up in the following pronouncement:

Getting such satisfaction is apparently important to Wright's education, as he argues here:

For instance, check out this example of how his desires dovetail with geography:

Still, even the most diligent student occasionally uses the wrong word sometimes....

As for members of the fairer sex, Wright tends to look at them in a couple of notable ways:

Even his mom doesn't earn an exemption.

But at least he knows what he wants to do with his life.

Given this goal, it makes perfect sense that CU would have been on his radar. But he was also seriously considering Michigan, Notre Dame and Rutgers -- at least until his expulsion from Ramsey, New Jersey's Don Bosco Prep. After that, Michigan, where Wright had reportedly been dreaming of playing since he was a kid, dropped out of the sweepstakes, and folks at Notre Dame and Rutgers didn't publicly bust their humps reassuring him.

Hence, he committed to CU, and yesterday, he offered a Twitter mea culpa to ESPN, saying, "I definitely learned a valuable lesson, and I promise nothing like that will ever happen again. Everyone that knows me knows that's not my true character or who I really am.

"I'm not going to sit here and try and make excuses for what I did," he continued. "I'm just going to be a man and say I was wrong and I learned from it. Hopefully other people will learn from what happened to me and make smarter choices. My days with social media are over. I promise."

No doubt that's great news to CU's Jon Embree, whose own tweets are about as controversial as a declaration of love for apple pie. And thus far, none of them have mentioned Yuri Wright.
