• Your conceit that I would reserve to myself the right to determine the degree and manner in which markets should be regulated is daft and utterly unsupported by anything I wrote -- ever hear of democracy? Once upon a time the United States of America was a democratic republic.  Today it is a corporate oligarchy.  Complete devotion to the irrational belief that markets should determine the course of human events has poisoned our future.  This is no fairy tale, but a nightmare which you and yours are creating.

• No, I do not "advocate allowing market forces to operate freely".  I am really disgusted with deliberate misreading and mischaracterization.  What I wrote was perfectly clear -- try reading the entire sentence: "Market forces should be allowed to operate freely in such a case -- no harm whatever to Boulder will acrue by allowing all comers to compete, and patients will likely benefit" In this instance, because there is no societal need or benefit to restricting the market, dispensaries should be allowed to open.  I am in favor of free markets whenever such conditions obtain, and of varying degrees of regulation when they don't.  Did you just stop reading after "Market forces should be allowed to operate freely ...", or are you another capitalist ideologue deliberately trying to deceive? P.S. That was a rhetorical question -- obviously you seek to deceive. On what basis did you suppose that I am a Marxist? Are you really so ignorant that you imagine that all socialists are Marxists, or did you just want to get in another word perceived as pejorative by right-wingers?
