The Denver Chalk Art Festival is one of my favorite local events of the year -- an opportunity for folks of every age and description to gather in Larimer Square and marvel at the images created with a few pieces of chalk and a slab of pavement. Weather was an issue on day one of the fest, but early Sunday afternoon was glorious -- and so was the scene captured in photos snapped by a more talented member of my family. Check them out below.
