Denver is big on bikes -- but is it big enough? 
The Alliance for Biking and Walking ranks Colorado twelfth in the nation for "bicycle friendliness." Bicycling Magazine also lists Denver as the twelfth best bicycling city in the nation.
That got the wheels turning for Saul:
12th best in the country is not good enough. With our weather, our outdoor culture, and our topography we should be leading the country in bicycling. Portland is rainy and hilly, Davis is the hottest place on earth, we are a great biking city in spite of our infrastructure. Denver needs to take the next step in promoting and accommodating bikers if we want to be a truly world class city.
