Aurora theater shooting: Bizarre court filing blames massacre on police chief, Illuminati
| Judge William Sylvester. |
Hence, Sylvester goes on, the motion doesn't require a ruling because it's illegitimate -- but "this Court has concerns about the mental health of the individual filing these pleadings. As such, the Court ORDERS that a copy of the Motion to Intervene and this Order be forwarded to the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office for an appropriate investigation." In addition, a copy is also directed to the Arapahoe County Department of Human Services Adult Protection Services unit "for potential referral to an appropriate mental health agency."
Sylvester also directed that the documents be made public -- a move that invites speculation about his reasoning. One possibility: He's upset that he had to waste his time with such a matter and wants to alert staffers to the possibility of more bogus filings in a case that could go on for a long, long time.
Here's the motion, followed by Judge Sylvester's order.
