The finale of Showtime's Weeds predicted Starbucks-like pot shops will proliferate a few short years from now -- a notion that resonates locally given the presence on the November ballot of Amendment 64, the Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol Act. But one reader reminds us to be aware of the differences between fiction and reality.

First off, its a TV show. It is sad to see it go, but its hard to believe Weeds is any closer to reality than CSI.Second. I loved Weeds, great show, great cast, could have used more Conrad.
