Miguel Medrano ID'd as victim of West Cedar Avenue murder (45)
What with the shocking quintuple murder at Fero's Bar & Grill and the discovery of Ari Misha Liggett with a dismembered body in his car, the violence in the metro area has been off the charts.
This may explain the relatively little attention paid thus far to yet another Denver homicide, this one involving the Tuesday evening death of a man now identified as Miguel Medrano. Details below.
At approximately 8:37 p.m. on October 16, according to a Denver Police Department release, officers responded to 1523 West Cedar Avenue after a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, they found a man ID'd as Medrano, age 57; he'd been shot. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Medrano's cause of death, according to the Denver coroner's office, came as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.
Thus far, the DPD has not released any information about possible suspects. As such, anyone with information about the crime is encouraged to phone Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867). A cash award of up to $2,000 for the arrest and prosecution of the killer is being offered.
