Francisco Moran IDs Hector Alvarez-Martinon as his killer while losing consciousness (53)
The department's release explains that Moran was inside a black 2007 Cadillac Escalade with eighteen-year-old Alvarez-Martinon and 21-year-old Alex Hernandez when the former allegedly began stabbing him. Moran subsequently bailed out of the vehicle at the mobile home park, with Alvarez-Martinon and Hernandez in hot pursuit.
How did Moran know Alvarez-Martinon? Turns out the latter is uncle to Moran's children.
Moran was rushed to Denver Health via ambulance, but he was later pronounced dead. Meanwhile, Alvarez-Martinon and Hernandez (both residents of Denver) evaded authorities for a few hours, but not much more than that. They were taken into custody at about 3:45 p.m. that same day on suspicion of first degree murder. They remain behind bars.
