Medical Marijuana Enforcement Division releases proposed MMJ biz rule changes

pot jar.jpg
The MMED will be taking written comments from the public on the proposed changes until December 28, when employees will compile the suggestions and release draft language. That said, the MMED's release doesn't include where the suggestions should be sent. We've contacted the MMED for clarification, but in the meantime, its physical mailing address is:
Medical Marijuana Enforcement Division

455 Sherman Street, Suite 390

Denver, CO 80203
Public comment will be held January 11, February 15 and March 22 at the Jefferson County Courthouse. The final proposal will be available in early April.

"The division is hopeful that opening the discussion beyond the designated advisory panel will encourage the participation of those with valuable and constructive input," officials said in a release last week. "Before the meetings, the division will release the agenda and general guidelines for constructive participation."

Lab testing isn't the panacea it's Cracked up to be.

Does a famous chef or wine maker have to send their products to a lab to prove they are of the highest quality? I do and have tested my product only for certain reasons. To get a baseline on the product. Routine testing is not necessary and only a rule or crazy guideline for foolish business owners.

A64 was written for the MMED as A64 says the Medical Marijuana Code 10 times.  So unless you are going to call them out on their bulshit and illegal usurption of the constitution how is this news not tabloind journilism? HOW ABOUT THIS FOR NEWS. THE GOVERNORS OFFICE HAS OVER 100 RECORDS RELATING TO THE PASSAGE OF A64. $320 TO SEE WHAT´S BEHIND THE SCREEN. WILL THE WESTWORD PRACTICE JOURNILISM OR KEEP THE DOCUMENT SECRET? http://es.scribd.com/doc/115636575/CORA-Letter-Corey-Donahue-Passage-of-Amendement-64-1

Our Medical Marijuana Regulations might be an epic pain in the ass to follow, but they have lead to some pretty great stuff.

How many of you ever thought you would get Lab Testing results of the Marijuana you were looking at without getting arrested and having the police do the test for you? Hell how many of you ever dreamed you would by your Marijuana in a store just like you buy everything else?

Colorado was miles ahead of the rest of the Country before A-64.

Yes We Cannabis!

So they're considering allowing out of state owners to run CO dispenses? I guess all the out of state money that went to pay for the passage of Amendment 64 had decided it's time to get paid. If this goes through, expect the big money folks to wipe out locally owned shops in short order, and Walmartification of marijuana to begin in CO.

So it sounds like the "changes" are more regulation, except in the cases where they made it so draconian they couldn't get it implemented.

The one thing that sounded worthwhile was coming up with a definition of a cutting, or in particular, when it becomes "a plant." IMO, it's not a plant until it's in a viable growing medium (like, say, a container larger than a solo cup.)

I don't like the 70/30 rule but everything else looks pretty good. Long time coming for most of it, especially the list for prohibited processes, additives, chemicals, and fertilizers. I'm not allowed to put AVID in my body when I eat lettuce, I shouldn't be allowed to put it in my body when I smoke it.

I have noticed 'certain' propietors of MMJ businesses 'spiking' prices as they try to snatch up as much cash as possible BEFORE it's not a big deal. These are the shops that will go out of business once the retail model comes to fruition....Better enjoy it while u can.. :)

@rosskarr Chef? no. wine maker? Yes. And all the people that supply the Chef are also inspected.

Lab testing ensures you are buying Marijuana, not mold, mildew and spider mites.

@coloradommjpatient  MMIG and the Marijuana McLawyer-Lobbyists for Greedy Big $$$ Dispensary Cartels have done FAR MORE Harm to mmj patients/caregivers than all those people combined.

Spoken like a true imbecile who doesn't have to actually comply and suffer under those regulations.

@DonkeyHotay Don't give them too hard of a time, master, this is the closest we have ever seen to anyone advocating fighting back against the DOR. You can bet @coloradommjpatient is not a MMIG-PPIG. All they know how to do is bend over.

@DonkeyHotay  A task so daunting that 500+ Stupid Stoned Pot Clowns are doing so without issue, and have been for years now.

Maybe Donkey just needs better weed.

@DonkeyHotay @nemopunk15 Whoever thought we'd have the chance to have RFID chips implanted in our weed? Seed to Sale to Jail! Yippie! Aren't we great?

Traitors and turncoats like @nemopunk15 that willingly go along with this Nazi regime without protest are the new Narcs...

@nemopunk15 Regulations are prohibition to SOMEONE, aren't they. I wish all these lying liars would stand up and just say, "Yes, I've got mine, now all you other non-compliant pot smokers can just fuck off. You are scum and you deserve to go to jail." That is EXACTLY what these pro-regulation Nazi's are doing, but they don't have the balls to actually say it.

"No man is free while even one remains in chains."

REGULATORS ARE PROHIBITIONISTS!

(Really) LEGALIZE MARIJUANA!

@DonkeyHotay I am not ignoring anything. First you're the only person claiming Colorado ever had 1000 Dispensaries. Most folks, put the peak around 800, but assuming your number is true what separated those that died from those that survived?

They all had the same EVIL REGULATIONS... So, what, those that survived have magic powers? Or did their owners and employees have to do something other than rant on the internet to keep their business open?

My point still stands. Our regulations might be a pain, but clearly they are not that hard to follow, after all 500+ retail locations and better than 1000 grow spaces manage just fine, and have for years.

DonkeyHotay

@nemopunk15 ... you ignore -- in your abject ignorance -- the 500+ dispensaries and 1000s of employees who've been FORCED out of business and into bankruptcy by the Big Government REGULATIONS they so myopically begged for.

Büch Dich and prepare to get REGULATED, sucker.

@betweenthelines What -- exactly -- will make it "BIGGER" than it is now?

Is teenage marijuana use going to increase?
