"In addition to addresses by the likes of attorney Rob Corry and activist Rico Colibri,..."

Good Lord, surely not the ame Rico Colibri who wants to throw out of state visitors to the incarceration industry wolves by forcing them to consume every bit of the up to 5 grams he would allow them, right there at the pot shop,  and only then turning them loose on the roads to kill someone in their car or be pulled over and sent to the slammer for driving with astronomical thc levels in their blood? He's the best friend Kevin Sabet has got in Colorado!

We have A64 to thank for HB 13-1114, this year's marijuana and driving bill. Thanks to all the stoners who voted for A64, we now have this festering turd sentence line in our constitution, maybe forever: "Driving under the influence of marijuana shall remain illegal." Since the brilliant McLawyers that wrote A64 failed to define exactly what "driving under the influence of marijuana is", they have FORCED the General Assembly to define it for them. They have decided that if you are suspected of drunk driving, the government will have the right to take your blood without your consent. If the government finds 0.5 ng/mL of THC in your blood, you will be guilty of a felony charge of driving under the influence. Under HB 13-1114, you don't get to present evidence that you might not have been actually impaired. The mere presence of this meager amount of THC in your blood guarantees your conviction.

Remember, if the A64 McLawyers had wanted to prohibit this kind of bill from being introduced, they could easily have added that language to A64.

Now, for discussion purposes, I would really like to see the pro-A64 crowd tell us all how forced blood draws and ridiculously-low nanogram limits is a "step in the right direction." As the Donkey says, "Be precise and show your work."

I've been a couple times, typically just for 4:20 and then get out. Similar to St. Patrick's day, it's amateur hour for stoners. Plus I always see way too many babies in strollers...

Well as some tourist and natives find it hard to believe, not everyone in Colorado smokes. I don't smoke, so it would be pretty weird being there.

Michael, will WW be posting a list of communities, towns and cities that are enacting A64 fully as written? Might be interesting to see which of those are enacting the will of the voters and which are not. It is a list that I think many would be interested in seeing.

Thanks for the work in keeping us informed of A64 compliance as this plays out. Much appreciated.

"Amendment 64 did not remove criminal penalties, nor did it make any concessions to those that are currently in jail for non-violent marijuana offenses, while ignoring the 18-21 year old [adult] community, continuing limits unlike the regulation of alcohol," he writes. "Those people are still in jail, and they will still face a hard time finding a job, resorting to dealing with the black markets for survival. This includes public consumption."

Finally some ACCURATE and HONEST coverage of that festering turd that is A64.

@Case No you don't, it was there last year without 64.  It's just the same douche bag with the porno mustache re-introducing it.

@Testecleese

The Will of the Voters was -- as specifically written into A64 -- that individual Cities and Counties could ENTIRELY BAN any commercial/retail Marijuana activities if they so desired.

Eighty Four (84) Cities or Counties had already BANNED "medical" marijuana dispensaries prior to A64, so you can count on those same ones to rapidly enacting bans on recreational dispensaries -- AS ALLOWED by THE WILL of the Stupid Stoners who wrote and passed A64!

@ccapra @Case You're right, ccapra. Last year was the second time a THC driving standard bill narrowly failed to become law. This year makes number three. Thanks for the post.

@Case @michael.roberts @ccapra

Stupid Stoners -- like ccrapra -- are as Stupid Stoners do!

Only a stupid stoner would surrender TOTAL CONTROL of Marijuana over to the same anti-marijuana bureaucrats and big government regulators who've been promoting the drug war for decades.

Fucking idiots who supported A64 deserve to get the Fist of Regulation rammed up their ass.
