Rifle giveway: Rocky Mountain Gun Owners' Dudley Brown wants to arm you for a legal fight

As lawmakers head to the State Capitol for opening day of the Colorado Legislature, critics are already taking aim at new gun-control proposals. Some will be rallying outside the building for a 1 p.m. Guns for Everyone event. Others are arming themselves -- literally -- for the legislative battles ahead.

Dudley Brown, head of Rocky Mountain Gun Owners, which bills itself as "Colorado's only no-compromise gun-rights organization," says his group needs to "increase the size of our pro-gun army" to fight the Colorado Legislature. And so its new recruiting drive has a special prize: a rifle.

Here's Brown's announcement:

Dear Fellow Patriot,

RMGO is facing dozens of battles in the Colorado legislature this year, so we need to increase the size of our pro-gun army.

To do that, we're giving away a free Colt AR-15 Model 6920 donated by our good friends at Jensen Arms in Loveland, CO.

The drawing for this rifle is on Friday, January 25...but you can't win unless you sign up.

That's why it's important you...sign up for your chance to win RIGHT NOW!

Ready, aim....
