Reader: Andy Samberg's shot at the Lumineers is funny because it's true

During the Independent Spirit Awards over the weekend, host Andy Samberg earned yuks from the Hollywood celebrities gathered at the pre-Oscar bash by likening Denver's Lumineers to Mumford & Sons. On Facebook, we asked if this joke was funny or a cheap shot. It took one reader only two words to make his feelings known.

I'm sure Mumford and Sons and the Lumineers sound the same to someone who doesn't care for that kind of music. All hip hop sounds the same to me, simply because it's not my thing. Denver should be proud of the Lumineers. They are poised to lift the entire front range music scene; a rising tide raises all boats.
