A ruling that Denver can be put on trial for police brutality and feds' decision not to charge three cops who brutally beat Alex Landau in 2009 cast Denver Police in a negative light. But the DPD continues to fight for its reputation, with one battleground being social media. An example: a new Pinterest page featuring photos of officers with kids, dogs and hot new cars -- plus a SWAT team pic unwisely labeled "Heading into the heart of darkness." @Juan_Leg Propaganda is a form of communication that is aimed towards influncing the attitude of a community toward some cause or position by presenting only one side of an argument. Propaganda is usually repeated and dispersed over a wide variety of media in order to create the chosen result in audience attitudes.

Now why would Village Voice Media, the Westword´s and Patricia Calhoun´s owners, need to propagandize the public?

It's pretty dumb to identify all police good or bad. You have to judge individuals individually and hold each accountable for their own actions. I know good cops and bad cops. I know good teachers and I know terrible ones. Same thing with parents an etc.
