lolz...Would definitely like to visit. Marijuana Mass Events also no body Want to Miss,Especially the open dispensaries and allowed for adults like us. Many of us who grow or use marijuana like hanging out with other pot people at mass marijuana events. The most famous of these marijuana festivals is the High Times Cannabis Cup, held every Thanksgiving in Amsterdam.

Greenwood Village City Council voted to ban use, possession and transportation of marijuana on city property. That is not so unusual, as numerous cities and counties have restricted marijuana after the passage of Amendment 64.

Here's the catch, though: The Greenwood Village ordinance defines city property to include all the public streets and sidewalks in the city. That makes it illegal even to drive through the city with an otherwise legal amount of marijuana in the car.

Because residents can't bring marijuana to their homes, the only way legally to possess marijuana in Greenwood Village is to grow it — and the City Council is expected to pass an ordinance soon that places strict controls on growing at home to address concerns about mold and fire hazards.

Greenwood Village City Attorney Tonya Haas Davidson said the ban is allowed under the marijuana-legalization law, which says "an entity who occupies, owns or controls property" can prohibit marijuana on that property.

"We own public property," she said. "So we just wrote the most restrictive ordinance we could."

City Council member Leslie Schluter, who sponsored the ordinance, said the city's residents did not support Amendment 64 and said their government should respect that.

The original cup, in Amsterdam, was all about seed sales. Promote your seed company and give the tourists a show while letting them smoke the good buds, which by the way were not entries, they usually suck. But here it's going to be all about what, medical dispensary weed? Promoting MMCs? Will the winner even know what genetics they entered, or will they just call it some name because they have no idea what it is like at their storefront? Anyway, the cup itself is a joke and has been for at least 10 years, but everyone has a good time despite that fact. I was once a stupid kid who traveled to a foreign country to get high, I'm sure there will be plenty of out-of-staters who come here for the same reason. I thought I was over the whole cup thing, but I'm going to this one. If you just ignore who wins, or even laugh at them like I will, it should be a good time, almost historical. And like always, the underground in the crowd will have way better herb than the judges. I'm not a big fan of flaunting weed anymore and calling attention to it, but I have to go to this spectacle. I do worry about the first DUID checkpoint leaving the parking lot though, I'm not driving.
