denver post facebook hickenlooper rhonda fields.jpg
Here's proof about how nasty the debate over gun-control legislation has gotten. This morning, the cover photo on the Denver Post's Facebook page was updated to show Governor John Hickenlooper signing gun bills, with Representative Rhonda Fields looking on. A short time later, someone tagged the image as featuring "Retarded Asshole" and "Dumb C*nt" -- the last word being one used frequently in e-mails to Fields by Franklin Sain, a local executive who was arrested on suspicion of harassment. These unwanted additions have now been removed, but the anger (and sometimes ugliness) of Second Amendment boosters over the legislation remains.

Just a waste of time. The left has now pissed off enough of the right to get the left thrown out and the right put back in. Then they will spend a year repealing everything the left has spent this year passing. In the end we will be just where we started and years of unproductive time will have passed.

So, what you're saying is that gun owners and gun activists are so violent, that they resort to words to hurt their political opponents.

Meanwhile, NRA President David Keene gets death threats from "peace lovers."

Thanks for that!

Oh and the Kumbaya liberals would never use terms like "tea bagger" or "redneck asshole" in their blog comments.

The truth is both sides are angry. Tthe fact is that Hickenlooper chose not to unite us in a fight on the common ground of keeping the mentally ill away from guns.  He chose instead to split Colorado down the middle pitting the law abiding gun owners who were butt raped by the Democrats against the hoplophobic leftist progressives.

He's no moderate.  He's a divider.  A radical leftist that has presidential ambitions and needs to get through the Democratic primaries that are controlled by the progressive radicals that now infest that once great party.

Who would have thought that teabagger gun nuts are unable to form any argument outside of offensive slurs? I for one am just shocked.

And we care about a 'FaceBook tag', why ?

People can act "ugly" for sure, but how would you like it if legislators banned something you care about, and have safely possessed and used for 50 years? What they did was ban Coloradans from inheriting American memorabilia from their loved ones, and I think that's pretty ugly.

So, are you fucking retarded Michael Roberts?  It's ok for the state to erase messages sent to them in a public fourm? Isn't there an amendment or something about freedom of speach and press?  Oh we don't have freedom of speach and the press is just paid propagandists. Keep up the good propaganda Michael.

@Monkey What they banned were high capacity magazines, not guns.

Wow you are that fucking stupid aren't you. You do realize that neither the Denver Post nor Facebook is property of the state, right? They're both private organizations who can rule however the hell they want to on this.

@annenoise @CoreyDonahue @ryan.cordova Good point I believe I lost my point in all this facebook nonsense.  My point war Michael Roberts is a government propagandists and this is just a case of bad reporting but good propaganda.

@CoreyDonahue @ryan.cordova The website being easily accessible does not making it a "public forum." "The state" has nothing to do with what the Denver Post does with their Facebook page.  I barely even understand what you're saying.
