Video: Mountain lion makes debatable decision not to attack two morons

Video below.
Coloradans are taught to keep a respectful distance from wild animals, since they're better at shredding meaty things like humans than posing for pictures.

Apparently, though, the two guys in the video below skipped that lesson. Shot in Salida earlier this month and currently nudging toward viral, the clip shows the camera operator taking the chance of becoming a snack in order to get footage of a mountain lion in a garage, precipitating mighty close calls for him and a buddy. Watch the wisdom below.

You guys keep posting this story where the video has been made private.

That's because the Mighty Michael Roberts can't do anything right.

I just tried to watch the video and it says "This video is private" and doesn't play. Is this happening to anyone else?

Those idiots shouldn't be allowed out in public.

Ya'all know Colorado is having large numbers of Rabies reports at this time, this compounds how stupid it was for these guys to go out and get that close to a cat behaving so outta the norm.

I was cheering for the mountain lion, whether it ate those two morons or not.

it literally was no bigger than a husky and much more afraid of them. i still think that guy was an idiot for positioning himself in a place where he can't get out of the way though.

Hilarious?? More like cringe-worthy. Those "men" are morons.

These two are so dumb they probably don't even know how lucky they are not to be in a hospital ICU right now. #idiots

Lol @ everyone saying that mountain lion was tiny. That thing would have sure scared ME. Might not be fully grown, but make no mistake... it would have messed both of them up had it wanted to.

Um no. That thing is barely bigger than a house cat. Sure it could scratch you up but that's about it. Do you realize how big those guys looked to that cat? Doesn't make them any less of jerks, but this doesn't deserve to be news. Also the headline is misleading.

Yes it was scared. But when scared they are more susceptible to attack as well. The Gene pool was strong in those two.

that's what I said when I saw that video. 'startle the kitty & get a limp.'

that thing wasn't big but it still would have fucked them up

That is a pretty tiny mountain lion. Cute but not very threatening.

Good choice for the mountain lion. His decision to attack these morons would end up being his death sentence.

@Broseph RossThe douche in question is apparently named Tom Hartman and he may have violated C.R.S. 33-6-128: "Damage or destruction of dens or nests--harassment of wildlife (1) Unless permitted by the division, it is unlawful for any person...  to harass any wildlife".  Perhaps the Division of Wildlife would like to see that video; it shouldn't be too hard to find Tom Hartman of Salida.
