Bicyclist beating and robbery: Can you ID these goons by their clothes?

Categories: Crime

Big photos, video below.
Late last month, the Aurora Police Department launched its search for an alleged kidnapper with an upgrade over the typical suspect sketch -- a computer-generated image.

The Boulder Police Department is trying a different tack when it comes to two men wanted for beating and robbing a cyclist. Instead of an illustration of the pair, the BPD has released photos of their clothing -- including a T-shirt sporting the phrase "I've got a big package." Photos, video and details below.

Of course, sketches wouldn't do much good in this case. According to the victim, who identified himself to 7News only by his first name, Stephen, the men wore ski masks over their faces.

Police were called to an area near Comanche Drive and Inca Parkway at around 11:04 p.m. on July 19. There, Stephen told them he'd been riding his bike and stopped to make a phone call when he was attacked by the men.

They pushed him off his bike, punched and kicked him, then stole cash and a backpack containing clothing and other personal items, including a knife they used to threaten Stephen a little more thoroughly before splitting.

The men are thought to be white or Hispanic males in their early to mid-twenties and of fairly modest stature -- one about five-foot five-inches and 115-125 pounds, the other five-six to five-seven and 130-140 pounds. But more noteworthy was their garb, including a hat like this one....

...with these accessories....

...and, most memorably, a T-shirt with a monkey Santa bragging about the size of his package:

Those with info about these lugs are encouraged to contact Detective Kurt Foster at 303-441-4329 or Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or 1-800-444-3776. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered int he case.

Here's the 7News report.

Michael:  The donkey boy wan't to know if they are illegals.  Will you report on that when they are caught?

@DonkeyHotay @fishingblues I have found that insecure people (in your case half people and half ass) who point their stinky little finger at others and accuse them of egregious behavior are themselves guilty of that very same behavior.  They simply do not have the courage to admit it.  I believe Freud call it projection.  You and your other race-baiter buddy, Al the sharpie Sharpton, certainly manifest that prognosis.
