Videos: Ministry says it predicted Colorado flooding as warning from God

The devastating flooding in Colorado over the past few days caught most of us by very unpleasant surprise.

But according to EFG-BN U.S. Food Reserves, the folks at Harvest Army World Revival saw it coming -- and interpret the disaster as a warning from God for "the Church and His Kids to return, repent and prepare!"

Details, photos and videos purporting to show the prophecies below.

Here's the description of Harvest Army from the organization's "About Our Ministry" page:

harvest.army.church.prophecy.graphic.jpg
In 1990, Harvest Army Church International was inaugurated in Miami Florida, USA, by Bishop K.D. Collins and wife Overseer E.E. Collins. In 1991 they visited New York and met with Bishop B. Hyatt, Rev. O. Hyatt, Overseer D. Smith, and others as pioneers for a second church in the USA. In 1992 Bishop K.D. Collins traveled to Jamaica and invited Overseer C. Collins into the movement. Harvest Army Outreach Ministries was then inaugurated. By September 1992, New York was officially chartered as the International Headquarters of the church body.

The movement then spread to parts of the world including England, Ghana, Haiti, Nigeria, India, Grenada, Canada, Fiji, Trinidad and The Netherlands. Harvest Army currently consists of over 200 branches and affiliates worldwide.

In 1996, Harvest Army Bible College was inaugurated. To date, many books and manuals have been published. Weekly television programs air worldwide on many media networks with potential viewership of over 100 million. Several musical recordings have been produced. Thousands of teaching and preaching recordings have been developed and made available.

The World Revival Movement continues to carry the fire by sending out willing harvesters & missionaries across the world. Many churches have been planted as well as joined worldwide. In recent years God has sent a special outpouring with weekly eunuch baptisms in the thousands.

In this movement every believer is raised up to become powerful preachers and personal witnesses of the Gospel. Men and women, boys and girls, learned, unlearned can be seen, on a weekly basis, preaching the Gospel and witnessing. Some have even been jailed for their ministry. One teenager kept on preaching in his jail cell. The officer could not bear to hear the preaching any longer and so called for the boy's parents to send anybody to fetch him immediately.

Among the features on the Harvest Army website is a running list of "Recent Prophecies" -- among them an August 16 vision that "a part of the USA is seen greatly devastated by the elements. The scenery appears similar to a third world country. There is much loss. Mankind need to repent of our sins and turn to Jesus Christ for eternal salvation, the one who reveal these events. John 13:19."

Here's a video of the prediction:

That was followed on September 7 by a revelation that begins, "In the spirit, the word 'Denver' is heard. Interpretation: Major distress is determined upon Colorado. Mankind need to repent of our sins and turn to Jesus Christ for eternal salvation before it is too late. 2Corinthians 6:2.... Behold, now is the day of salvation."

Here's that video:

This prophecy now appears at the top of a column entitled "Recent Fulfillments" -- meaning that Harvest Army generals believe the flooding here was foreseen and presumably took place because Coloradans didn't heed the warning and failed to offer up their hearts and minds to Jesus Christ.

That's the message from EFG-BN U.S. Food Reserves, which portrays the flooding as punishment for heathen ways.

Wow it seems we all agree, this religious predicting of this is a fallacy.

So really, seriously, we are supposed to believe this?? If they knew, then they were responsible for letting others know. What jackasses. I hate it when people do something like this just for their 15 min.

Uh-huh, oh they're finally going to cut down that big oak tree at the ball field...next...

Total bullshit! That is how people get out of taking responsibility for their own participation & denying the warning of science/facts. The GOD I know isn't vengeful. That is a human condition

sigh well remember Jerry Fawell and Pat Roberson had a conversation on national tv (the 700 club) shortly after 911 in which they bot\h agreed that the reason we were attacked was because God had taken off the curtain of protection he had around the USA because we had become a secular nation allowing gays to be gay and performing abortions. wow we were founded as a secular nation thus the phrase freedom of religion.

Sure would have been nice if he'd opened his big pie hole before now. What a liar.

Even if they did accurately predict the floods (hint: they didn't), if the way their God chooses to bring followers into the fold is to kill or render homeless their friends and family, causing untold destruction in the process, then fuck their God.

If he did predict this, doesn't he have a Godly duty to have warned Colorado? I told you so doesn't help anyone.

And yet again, another article from Denver Westword that does nothing at all to help anyone but in fact only serves to further divide the state of Colorado and it's readers. Good job DW, you're working hard to tear people apart and never mind writing an article about where people can go to help or donate money. Yep, that would be wayyyy too much of a good thing.

The flood has been predicted through the Farmers' Almanac for many years. Particularly in the Boulder Canyon area. It is the way it is shaped and all of the houses that line it were always in trouble. Just like in areas of New Orleans. When we build on areas with fault lines, or in flood plains, you have to expect it will happen eventually.

Way to use a natural disaster and the suffering it has caused to try and further your own twisted cause. The fact that they see this as at all feasible displays only how fucked up they are and discredits any divinity in their mess-age.

i love religious groups that claim to predict shit...yet they do nothing to stop the devastation, or help those that will be affected. what a crock of shit!

The flood is a warning from the universe to all sane individuals to stay away from whack-jobs like the Harvest Army and their cultish brethren....See how easy it is to turn that shit around? :)

Totally expected from the so-called Christians that will use any disaster to promote themselves.

Is it possible that these floods are because of the recall elections ? Just a thought, and as valid as any as long as we are blaming God.

It has to be god's wrath for the recall election.

@Michael Cano  Well, We were Founded as a Secular Nation, something these idiots can deny all they want...If they actually read up on History they might know that....The Goddess has blessed Colorada becuz,' we R a Compassionate State, with Healthy People, Clean Air, Beautiful Scenery, & a Well educated Populace. Mother Earth has Extremes, this we know. Each part of the Earth will experience wild weather at one time or another. The FACT that we have interfered with the Natural Cycles of Nature is evident in the last few years. The news here is that this is rhe largest response of our National Guard ( which is BTW the  21st century version of a  Well-Regulated Militia, invisioned by our Founding Fathers & Mothers...) since Katrina! 1,000 Yr. Catastopic Event!!!!!!   I for one,  am glad that Obama is President right now,,,Can you imagine what a mess it would B if Bush, or the Republicans were runnin' things?    The people here in Colorado R tuff, we have strange & sudden chnges in our weather practially every month of the year. We will continue  ta Rise Up, without the interference or "Help" from this so-called God they worship...No Heavenly Craeture could Rein Terror  down on us this way, and claim ta' B a "LOVING GOD" The GOD  they descibe is PURE HATE, VENGENCE & EVIL.... NOT THANKS...
