Photos of the Day: Rhonda Bernard is a lot worse housekeeper than you are

Think you're a little messy? Well, judging by this photo, you're Martha Stewart compared to Fremont County's Rhonda Bernard, 57, who reportedly was sharing her home with 26 cats, 23 chihuahuas, two chinchillas and a ten-year-old son -- hence, her arrest on 52 animal-cruelty charges and one count of child abuse after Hazmat-clad authorities raided her home. Look below to see Fremont County Sheriff's Office photo of the chihuahuas, who are now at a local humane society, plus shots of a chinchilla and Ms. Bernard, who won't be giving Martha Stewart a run for her money anytime soon.

Before you all start to judge this women, lets take a look at her mental health.  Clearly she is not stable and has experienced some sort of trauma in her life to cause her to hoard animals and lack the skills to keep her home clean and care appropriately for her child.  Maybe you should all check yourselves and not judge others because you have no clue what her life has been like.

Wow! I feel so bad for that 10 year old boy.. so sad. I hope HEALTHY family members can take him in. What a selfish, selfish woman. I can't imagine what her neighbors feel like.. submitting them to that wreckage, and then to bring and CHILD and helpless animals into it.. so selfish!! REALLY glad they posted her picture.. it needs to be shared in case she EVER gets out!! NO ONE should give this woman any animal again.. ever.  I want her locked up, away from her innocent child, society and any animals that she might harm! It's a WONDER her family didn't report her sooner!

PLEASE DONATE MONEY TO THE ANIMAL SHELTERS AND RESCUES THAT TAKE THESE ANIMALS IN!!!! THEY ARE PROBABLY VERY SICK AND WILL REQUIRE VET CARE, PREVENTATIVE CARE AND REHOMING!!!! Applewood Resuce is an organization I follow on Facebook.. they do great work! Please donate what you can if you care at all to ANY of the organizations helping in this situation!

The chinchillas are at my shelter, Apple Wood Rescue and there was also a ferret that has been taken in by Ferret Dreams Rescue & Adoption. Hoping the cats and chihuahuas ended up in caring rehab facilities as well!

@Daniel J. King IV Completely irrelevant, Daniel. There are SO many other characteristics and lifestyle choices that can be used in a discussion about hoarding, abuse, child abuse, animal abuse and making a neighborhood or house a health/safety hazard! Better to save the matter of politics for another, more relevant news story. There are some people that are great people and voted for Bush, some people that voted for Obama and are great people, some people voted against Lincoln.. they still may have been great people. This woman is not a great, let alone remotely good, person. Obama has nothing to do with her choice to abuse her house, son and animals.
