If the folks at Comcast wanted to maximize hatred and inspire customers to explore satellite delivery, they couldn't have chosen a better time for a cable outage than at halftime of as crazy a Broncos game as any in recent memory -- a 51-48 victory over the Dallas Cowboys not decided until the final seconds. Service had been restored by that time, but it was out for most of the second half, with recorded messages saying a fix might not happen until 8 p.m., leaving folks with plenty of time to vent on Twitter. Count down the twenty meanest tweets we found below.

I was out and about during the Broncos game, and saw about two dozen people with Broncos gear on. WTF? They buy gear and don't watch the game?

God forbid anyone get between Broncos worshipers and a Broncos broadcast!

I dumped ComCrap long time ago, I live in a semi rural area and their service out here is crappy on its best days

How empty one's life must be for something as simple as not being able to watch a football game to inspire this level of ire. Pathetic.

Who cares, the Broncos suck anyways. Always have, always will.

I guess "mean" and "whiney" are synonyms now?

Cut out right in the third quarter! I was having a panic attack trying to adjust all of my chords, the cable channels worked just not the local ones. I'm pretty freakin pissed off with xfinity right now. Had to watch online feeds.

I lucked out, my Comcast service was amazingly up during the whole game. I guess it was payback for not being able to watch the Avalanche game on Friday because of Altitude and/or Comcast's ineptitude.

Yes really freakin pissed; my household all left to sportsbars to finish watching the game; I better get a darn refund

What a bunch of whiners.  "Waaaa, I can't watch the Bronco's game, waaaa!"  Overprivledged grumps.  Turn on the radio, it won't kill you.

Go to Radio Shack and get a converter box/antenna for under $100 for situations like this. I don't have cable but my box delivered the whole game fine. a simple plug in required.

No, because I have an HD antenna, and not Comcasts crappy cable service!

I don't know about you guys, but I don't even bother to watch the game when all of my friends are kind enough to give everyone on Facebook a play by play.

You should have looked up the Xfinity tweets. They were worse.

I was really pissed! Had to listen on radio. Got service back 55 minutes before game ended so atleast we could watch the end.

I'm with Russell. Cable is a rip off. My cheap antenna gets me the channels I require.

If you had a $29.95 indoor HD antenna you could have seen that last minute Bronco's interception without paying Comca$t anything.

@Scott Petrovits I'm sure all of your hobbies and interests are 100% unpathetic and noble. Must be tough being so perfect and awesome.

@Todd Elsen A lot of us haven't had antennas for years -- but in this situation, one definitely came in handy. Thanks for the post.

@Luke McOmie Seems like north metro and Boulder got it worst -- but those areas weren't alone. Thanks for posting, Luke.

@Chip Thomas Wonder if DirecTV and DISH will use what happened in an ad campaign.... Thanks for posting, Chip.

@Carmen Ponce I'd freak the fuck out, since when my team plays the Avs, they black out every other alternative and force me to get that game through that abomination, for a fee.

@Carmen Ponce A number of our readers mentioned problems with the Avs game. Sounds like a lot of issues lately. Thanks for posting, Carmen.

@Paul Alexander Flores They're not perfect, but at least the local government didn't choose them for us and decide what they put on the air and what they don't.
