Reader: Why the hell are you smoking synthetic pot when Colorado's got the world's best weed?

crazy.monkey.synthetic.marijuana.205x205.jpg
William Breathes recently shared stats from a federal study documenting 221 emergency room visits in Colorado over the span of just a few months from the effects of synthetic marijuana. One reader was so dumbfounded by people who would forego real weed for the fake stuff that he went all caps-lock on their asses.

Jeffrey Grubesic writes:

WE'RE IN COLO YOU MORONS!!! We have the best pot on the planet being grown in this state...AND STILL we have THESE FUCKING MORONS GETTING SICK FROM FAKE WEED. DUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

its simple, some people still have to take drug tests for their job or the courts or whatever, imagine living in the wonderland of weed and not being able to partake.

Same thing I have been wondering for months.  Cannabis is non-toxic which is why it has yet to kill anyone.

Tetrahydrocannabinols in clinical and forensic toxicology.

9THC and related compounds are determined in autopsy material, although deaths by overdose of cannabis are exceptionally rare. Fatalities happen most often after intravenous injection of hashish oil.

A Comparison of Mainstream and Sidestream Marijuana and Tobacco Cigarette Smoke

It was found in 2007 that while tobacco and cannabis smoke are quite similar, cannabis smoke contained higher amounts of ammoniahydrogen cyanide, and nitrogen oxides, but lower levels of carcinogenic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs).

This study found that directly inhaled cannabis smoke contained as much as 20 times as much ammonia and 5 times as much hydrogen cyanide as tobacco smoke and compared the properties of both mainstream and sidestream smoke.

Mainstream cannabis smoke was found to contain higher concentrations of selected polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) than sidestream tobacco smoke
