Video: Denver is a better city than Seattle, and Mo Rocca can prove it

denver.better.than.seattle.mo.rocca.205x205.jpg
Video below.
While tourist agencies in Denver and Seattle have gone out of their way to highlight things the communities have in common (other than legal pot, that is), this Sunday's Super Bowl featuring the Broncos and Seahawks has still managed to ramp up competition between the cities. But which is better? CBS offers dueling perspectives, with John Blackstone hyping Seattle and Mo Rocca arguing for Denver -- and arguing well. See Rocca's hilarious tribute to craft beer, Chipotle, Rocky Mountain oysters, Hacky Sack and white guys with dreads below.

Send your story tips to the author, Michael Roberts.

Read more about Mo Rocca and Denver in our September 2008 Calhoun: Wake-Up Call item "Denver's post-party depression."

This has nothing to do with football. Seattle is a rad city! It's a totally different vibe though so you're pretty much comparing apples to oranges!

Good cure for that, visit the braggarts and boasters of Phoenix or Chicago, you'll want to go right back to those playing the victim.

If its so great, why is the Mayor getting sued for anti-trust and multiple counts of fraud? If its so great, why is the former mayor, now Governor getting sued for racketeering and multiple counts of fraud? Back to sleep Patty.

Unfortunately one of the less than positive things about Colorado is this unappealing need to play a victim and denigrate others rather than brag about ones self.

I'd take my chances with loonies. Haven't been to either but I'd choose Denver in a heartbeat. At least you see the sun there every now and then. Every liberal I knew in Phoenix was in love with Seattle, well f that.

Lived in both. Denver wins weather but Seattle is better in every other way. Than again, I prefer water over mountains. IMHO

Denver all the way!! No reason to tolerate Seattle weather. Its nice to visit and all but you can't beat Denver for all around quality of life.

The weather alone wins here in the 303. No contest. Sorry. Stay in Seattle don't come to Denver please.
