Denver blogs get into the spirit of 2014.

Westword's Cafe Society reports on West Flanders Brewing, which is releasing Recreational Smoke as a tie-in to legal weed: "30 cents per ounce."

Colorado Pols updates us on Magpul Industries, the ammunition maker, which is getting million in incentives to leave Colorado.

And Thrifting Denver shows us how to activate our resolutions on the cheap.

If I were a gambling man, I'd bet that at least one of them was already working on it.

So now that weed is "legal" in CO, how long before one of the 9,874 local breweries comes up with some sort of pot beer?

Me too, JJ, but unless prices have gone up a lot since I last checked, around five dollars is the going rate for a pint of good craft beer. So while I applaud the clever marketing of "Thirty cents per ounce," the total price per pint of 4.80 may not be bad, but it isn't a bargain in the sense of saving significant money over other craft beers either.

If it is good beer, that is a great bargain. I will pay for quality.

Although 4.80 is on the lower end of average, I'd hardly call it "bargain."
