Big tweets below.
After the Broncos' humiliating defeat in the Super Bowl, a lot of us fans felt an apology was in order -- and plenty of Twitter-using Denver players agreed. At this writing, none of our five most memorable Broncos on Twitter have weighed in, disappointingly enough. But a slew of other notables, including Shaun Phillips, seen here, have sent out I'm-sorry tweets, with many adding that the loss will only inspire them to work harder in the off-season. That's what we like to hear. Count down our top ten below.

To all fans of Football, we are passionate about this game.  Our beloved teams' win and loose every year.  we are all critical of special athletes who are out there taking a beating for our enjoyment.  If for Minute you don't think they know that they met their match and could do nothing to stop it, you are a fool.  why should they apologize to you?  why not have all the teams who didn't make the Super bowl apologize.  Why not just give credit where credit is due.  The Broncos play the NFC West this year, so reserve your opinion until they play the best defensive division in the NFL.  I know the Seahawks did.

To bad neither of those teams could make it to the Super Bowl 2014.

This is a shitty excuse for an article. Nobody should apologize for losing a game.

It's about time that someone stood up for fan rights. Kudos to the Denver Westward for defending us in our time of need. I am starting a class-action lawsuit to gain compensation for emotional damages inflicted by the Denver Broncos.

As a Chiefs fan, I definitely deserve an apology for having to sit through that boring poor excuse for a Super Bowl. At least the party was fun

Westword, you are definitely doing THE MOST with these articles. Keep it moving and find something to actually write about!

The 49ers and even the Saints beg to differ, given that both actually competed against the Seahawks during the playoffs.

Denver Westword staff - find something else to write on. This is getting ridiculous.

Just stop it. The only ones I see going on about apologies is Westword. No one should apologize. When did we start being this stupid?

Take this post down. The westword now owes an apology to the broncos. Friggin ass clowns!

Really slow news day at the westward to have to pick on our badass Broncos. The city rises and falls together with our team.

No apologies are needed at all. Its a game. Fans expecting any sort of apology is absolutely ridiculous. Maybe people should be less concerned with sports teams and entertainers and focus on things that actually matter

Why should anyone have to apologize? They got to the Super Bowl and lost.

I'd like an apology from Westword, for calling this journalism....

Thank you Broncos for bringing my family together in our living room on game day to watch an amazing group of individuals work so seamless together, teaching the kids what a real team should look like win or lose I am proud to call the Broncos our team!

Why the Hell do they owe us anything!? It's over Seattle won and there is nothing we can do Congrats to them! If anything we should be proud of our team for doing everything they did this season! Amazing year and just more to come. I'm still very proud to say I'm a Broncos fan! You've had some really bad articles about the super bowl and this has topped it. I'm unliking your page and I hope others do to! I never thought the Westword would have such ridiculous articles.

As a REAL Broncos fan, there is no apology needed! We had a hell of a season and got to the Super Bowl, which is better than 30 other teams did. Hold your head high and let's get 'em next year!

It's a game. Win 15 and lose 4? No apology needed. Now, some of the "fans", well that's another story.

I am not a bronco fan but i am going to say this what the hell do the players need to apologize for, they go to work and do there job just like all of us, don't say sorry just go back out there next year and kick ass, you guys had a great season, so be proud of that, sometimes things don't come together in time, we as people can't help that

I'm a Pats fan, but if Denver thinks the Broncos should be apologizing you don't deserve a team that went that far. It's football...games can go either direction.

They don't owe any apologies at least not to us. Maybe to their coaches and Management who'll decide who stays and who goes but not to their fans. I think the fans are grateful we made it to a Super Bowl and had an amazing season.

They had a hell of a season all those records we broke. Sucks we lost the game tho.

No one should have to apologize for trying their best. And somedays our best falls short of another's best. Happens to all of us.

Apology for what? They were a vastly overrated team that finally played a team with a real defense. The coasting came to an abrupt end.

Mike Downing

No apologies needed. They have to live with that feeling. Carry it with them next fall and finish it next year. Go Broncos!

It was a game, they didnt take Seattle seriously...they lost the game, not that big of a deal.

Shana Krone Long

None of them "owe" the fans an apology. They played an incredible season and carried themselves with a high level of class. I am proud of our boys in Orange!

David Starry

Apology or not, they have to live the rest of their lives with that memory. That's punishment enough. It's just too bad all of us fans also have to live the rest of our lives with that memory...

I'm proud of our team for getting as far as they did! No need to be sorry at all or guilty! This will make us stronger and true fans will know and understand this!
