Reader: Who do pot shop owners have to blow in order to get licensed?

mmj.america.205x205.jpg
Our most recent update about licensed marijuana stores in Denver noted that 37 of them have received the city's blessing thus far. But many others are waiting, and while officials stress that everyone is being treated equally, one reader is feeling frustrated.

Angela Adams writes:

The big question is why these shops have gotten approval and the others waiting have not? I know of one that is totally in compliance and jumped through every hoop the feds, the state and the city have thrown at them and they are still waiting and losing so much money every day that it is sickening. So whose dick to they have to suck to finally get approval?

1. Sounds like you need a nice idica. 2.Sme did not apply early and therefore their hearings have been held weekly since Jan1. On Jan 1, only 15 dispensaries had Rec licenses; Perhaps its because some owners jumped on the bandwagon and got their apps in before the others?Boulder started this month. Might I suggest some reading resources: Westword "ask a stoner" weekly 'education' on this matter and how to stay within the law; Stop in any dispensary and pick up such mj mags as Rooster, Chronic, Culture, The Hemp Connosieur (sp) and Chroncle. These publications all ;publish relevant and timely articles and the Why? etc.

Very passionate post, however the journalistic thing to do would be to follow up on the claim for validity vs. share it blindly.

Palmer Lake was shut down in Lakewood. FUNNY now Lakewood is allowing recreational marijuana sales! BULL CRAP COLORADO! I wish Dino had the balls to sue!

Dino did try and sue Lakewood, and lost because another pre-existing pot shop was too close to his.
